My works are gestural drawings made with graphite pencil on hand printed paper, each finished drawing consists of a number of drawn sheets stacked together. I work on Rives Lightweight paper. After I map out and draw all of the layers I then excise the negative spaces of each gestural drawing with an X-acto knife, allowing only the drawn line remaining creating a delicate lace like sheet. I then layer the sheets together some works, simply one on top another, others I stagger the sheets in order to build larger compositions than the paper size.
